I miss these girls. They’re the reason why I finished high school on a bright note. And it’s because of them that I believed that friendships could reach greater heights.
Jacky Moraleda – The Fashionista
Ever since our first year in high school, we were already close friends. All throughout high school she has always been by my side, and I mean literally. She’s the person who knows everything about me. I’ve told her every story about my life, and I think she’s one of the people who knows me too well. She is my go-to stylist, the one I immediately text when I have fashion dilemma, and the one who reports to me about the latest trends in the world of fashion. She is my partner in my weirdness and you’ll always see us doing the most mundane things in school. But that’s the exact reason why I love her. Although she is my complete opposite (tall, tan, model-esque bod), in many ways she feels the same way as I do, as if we only had one mind and heart.
Rigiel Manahan – The Anything Goes Gal
I met her when sophomore year was coming to a close, and ever since then we have been the best of friends. She’s your go-to gal when you need someone to go with to a party, a milk tea date, or someone you could just hang out with. She’s always game for anything even if it’s short notice. You could always depend on her to be there for you, and at the same time be there for her. There are times when you debate with each other and you argue about the silliest things, but you know deep inside that she’s always right.
Patricia Gatbonton – The Conversationalist
I’ve known her since I’ve known Rigiel, but I swear she’s one of the most loquacious people you’ve ever met. She always has something to say, and that’s the reason why I love going on long walks with her, and just…talk. I could literally spend hours talking to my dearest baby and also listen to what she has to say. In some way she is the baby of the group, but she could also be the most mature. She is my partner when it comes to being the ‘good girls’ in the bunch, but we have our own naughty tricks, too. She is the person who would always be there for you to listen to your stories and tell hers.
Hannah Paguila – The Artist
She has inspired me to express myself in so many ways – literature, music, photography – and at the same time, be myself. She is a singer-songwriter who loves God and music. She always writes the most beautiful stories and poems that make you believe that someday it could be your own. She inspired me to see things in a different light, and to look forward to brighter days. I have always believed that her artistry will make her succeed one day, and that she would soon discover more talent and happiness waiting for her in the long run.
