UP Sandigan turns 25!

Twenty-five years of pride and flame. ❤

Let it be known, that the fire of UP Sandigan and I are one.

Typhoon Haiyan is a Category 5 storm, the strongest typhoon of 2013 and said to be the “most powerful ever” to make landfall (with winds near 195-200 mph). Perspective: Superstorm Sandy was at 95mph when it hit New Jersey; Hurricane Katrina at 129mph when it hit land.

The victims need all the help they can get. Cities have been leveled, buildings made of concrete were destroyed by strong winds and storm surges. Communications have yet to be reestablished in most of the areas affected by the typhoon. The full picture left behind by Haiyan has yet to be established yet the devastation reported on television is already extensive. The government is bracing for large-scale relief operations. Virtually 1/3 of the country has been ravaged by this natural disaster. And we need help.

Please reblog and add other details I might’ve missed!

I went to Fully Booked to get myself a copy of House of Hades. Sadly, they ran out of stock and since I’ve been itching to get a new book I looked around and bought these instead.

I decided to stray away from the norm and read these books that have caught my eye. I’ve been wanting to read more of Neil Gaiman, since I’ve only heard of him recently from Matthew. I haven’t finished Coraline yet, but so far I see Gaiman as a dark writer (no wonder you like him, Matt, if you are reading this). I’d like to give it a try so I started reading this first!

I got a different cover of The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and the back cover actually caught my eye, and a lot of people say that this book has changed their life. I’m excited to see if it does the same for me!

These are on my reading list this sembreak and I do know that I haven’t followed the list I made a few posts ago, but oh well.

What’s on your reading list this week?

I woke up when September ended.

  • Long nights and too much coffee
  • My very first sky photo
  • Book haul (less than 500 Php for everything on that photo, mind you.)
  • This year’s Global Youth Summit!!! (Spot Atom Araullo in his pink pants)
  • Lucky shoes
  • Good Karma shirts coming to an end (on our part </3)

How was your September?

P.S. I might just make this a monthly thing now. I just have to come up with a name for it. Haha.

  • Here’s a few of my favorite photos on Instagram!
  • I love these because it’s either I really love how the colors from the filter came out or because the photo depicts how I am on most days. Haha!
  • So if you haven’t followed me on IG please do so here! 🙂
  • And if you want to show me your favorite IG posts please do leave the links via reply to this post or you could TA me!
  • I am bored out of hell ‘cos school’s out for the day and I don’t have anything to do. #irregproblems
  • So, please, just talk to me.
  • If you want to do an IG collab I say why the heck not?
  • And can you give me really cool movie suggestions?
  • I’d love to read anything right now so if you know any good Thought Catalog articles please do leave the title/link as a reply to this post.
  • Or if you have any book suggestions please do leave a reply in here, as well.
  • I guess I’m boring the hell out of you so I’ll just leave it here. Anyhoo, happy day to you! 🙂
